Iran box office top hits revealed

The list of bestselling films at Iranian box office for September 6-12, 2018, has been unveiled with Iran's record-breaking flick, ‘Millipede', still shining on the top.

‘Millipede' by Abolhassan Davoudi (Weekly gross: 16,043,120,000 Rials, Total gross: 354,776,610,000 Rials), 'The Lost Strait' by Bahram Tavakkoli (Weekly gross: 6,215,110,000, Total gross: 38,344,990,000), 'The Redtails' by Arash Moayyerian (Weekly gross: 2,886,410,000 Rials, Total gross: 23,845,870,000 Rials), 'Katyusha' by Ali Atshani (Weekly gross: 1,933,570,000 Rials, Total gross: 20,520,670,000 Rials), and 'Flaming' by Hamid Nematollah (Weekly gross: 1,858,760,000 Rials, Total gross: 7,630,740,000 Rials).

“Reza, a criminal, finds out that a rich female doctor at war veteran hospital vows to marry a veteran. Reza who is an amputee without a leg wants to marry the doctor. However, things get out of hand in the middle,” a short synopsis for 'Millipede' reads.

'The Lost Strait' depicts how Iran’s Ammar battalion battled against the Iraqi forces in an unequal encounter in the Abu Ghuraib Strait near Dehloran in Iran’s Ilam Province.

"We fell asleep to escape the truth, but we faced a nightmare," a short synopsis for 'The Redtails' reads.

“If I want to be successful in my life, I do not have to look at life like you do," a short synopsis for 'Katyusha' reads.

‘Flaming’ is a social drama about a man who feels like achieving nothing throughout his life.
